As we all know infrastructure encourages economic growth, which in turn produces equal society benefits. By merely taking transportation system as an example ,Having better roads enables farmers to produce their harvests to markets faster preventing rotting or any spoilage. This is a poverty reduction perspective.
The critical sector of infrastructure in India is water and sanitation, because most of the Indian ailments are water based.
This affects the daily wage workers rather then corporate as the revenue directly depends on the number of days you work for them. Also allows them to spend less on medical expenses.
However, on the other hand, telecommunications and electricity increased at a highly intriguing rate , linking practically the entire India. And getting to the subject of energy, India not only begun generating energy in a sustainable way but also how to manage the energy well.

When ever we talk about GDP, it’s always India needs to improve. But the fact is that even US is currently experiencing the development dilemma, since most of their infrastructure was done immediately after the WW2 . Wear and tear is a common factor , no matter its a developed country or a developing one. India Is in the requirement to provide 100 percent connections In terms of every infrastructure conceivable.
Let’s come to major point. What is India doing? ( Ans: SCHEMES) So, what we know is India has built a few “Schemes” and “Policies” for each area. Like Smart city. The finest example is Belagavi and mangalore smart city initiatives which turned out to be a little success if we just consider just the Karnataka state. There are several electrification projects, PMGSY- rural roads, swatch Bharat(waste management), National corridors, Awaaz Yojana, Group housing, Atal Mission( for urban rejuvenation), Amrut Yojana etc.

So what do these plans do? ( Ans: SET RULES) The key-thing of these plans is “Funding”. Any Yojana or a policy needs to have its own financing account and suitable staff to handle that and spend intelligently. It offers a structure, some rules and constraints and effectively decentralise the entire plan. It is crucial to have suitable personnel in the team who is an expert in that particular area, which inturn doesn’t clash with other government concerns or tragedies. The best thing that happened to India as per the History of civilisation post Independence is:PPP — public private partnership
So its simply letting the private firms look after the scheme of a project under govt. guidelines and according to what the Indian populace needs.
The first example of India’s PPP turned out to be a disaster, which is nothing but the East India firm.
We may all agree to a fact that the British gave us the Infrastructure like railways and sanitary networks which are still in perfect intact but,\sAt what cost????? — Shashi Taroor( from the book “Era of Darkness”) states the proper mode of the aforementioned sentence. Even in the book “ India after Gandhi “ by Ramachandra Guha, where he recounts how India endured a moment of turmoil soon after independence. the truth is India wasn’t equipped for that freedom, where it had to take complete incharge of the entire Indian Infrastructure system.
That followed by a 5 years plan is all India strong history, which made India what it is today. Now after considering all the above points it would be unjust if I did not include License Raj mindset. Also taking away the negative issues related that we have to realize that the country grew at a 2% rate, which was good at that time, which was also called the Hindu growth.

Connecting all these historical facts and data we can infer that Liberalisation is a positive thing , If managed effectively and can push the country to different heights with a healthy competitive spirit. The History always establishes a course which cannot be ignored even if intended. By now I somewhat strongly believe that infrastructure is a big topic of interest which occupies numerous industries like water , energy, power and much more ans finding a common ground to satisfy all of these individual needs is a nonnegotiable talent .
